Sunday School & Childcare
Sunday School students are placed in classes appropriate for their age and school level. Teaching includes learning basic Bible stories, as well as:
The Ten Commandments
The Lord's Prayer
The Sermon on the Mount
Students also learn how to apply these teachings to their daily experiences, at home and at school.

"Christmas! Is it your favorite holiday? On Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
The Bible tells us that on the night of Jesus’ birth, the angel of the Lord appeared to shepherds who were watching their sheep in the fields. God’s glory shone on them. Can you imagine what that must have been like? At first, they were very scared. But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid!” and, “I bring you the most joyful news ever announced, and it is for everyone! The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born tonight in Bethlehem!” (Luke 2:10, 11, Living Bible)."
Pursuant to direction from California Governor Gavin Newsom and the President of the United States, our “In-Church” services are suspended temporarily, effective immediately.
The Governor called that individuals over the age of 65 “to practice home isolation”, and the President’s request that no gatherings exceed 10 persons in number, and Mary Baker Eddy’s statement in Retrospection 87:10, “Genuine Christian Scientists are, or should be, the most systematic and law-abiding people on earth”… have precipitated these actions.
So, in compliance with these requests, we are moving to "call-in" services until we are advised that we can resume our normal "in-person" services.

It was late spring. With less than a month before the end of my sophomore year of college, I was still without a summer internship—and I was feeling the pressure. Both my majors required internships, but so far, nothing had worked out.

We welcome all children and teens in our Sunday School, held at the same time as our Sunday church service. Students study the Scriptures, beginning with the Ten Commandments, The Lord’s Prayer, and the Sermon on the Mount. Through lively question and answer sessions, students learn of God’s love for them and how the spiritual and moral teachings of the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (by Mary Baker Eddy) can help them every day, in every situation. Instruction in the older classes includes the Christian Science Bible Lesson.
Infants and children who are too young to attend Sunday School are cared for lovingly on both Sundays and Wednesdays. Free child care for the very young is provided, under the care and supervision of two experienced adults.
